Sean McMullen’s epic sci fi novel of a post-apocalyptic far-future Australia where the library is essentially one of the two or three branches of government, librarians fight duels over promotions and cataloging practices, cetaceans broadcast a telepathic “call” that makes everyone in the continent try to walk into the ocean and get eaten by sharks…anyway, it’s some crazy shit. Read by Nick at Rockridge library (cf. Libraries), later purchased by Andrew at College Hill Bookstore (cf. Bookstores); also later given to Nick by Rhonda.
