Q-adjusted determinism is a term coined by Chris to refer to a problem in metaphysics. Specifically, if the universe is probabilistic, as quantum physics suggests, then the traditional Newtonian billiard-ball model of determinism is out of the question. However, this need not imply free-will for us billiard-ball-constructs, as it is entirely conceivable that the universe may be deterministic except for some small element of chance. This is useful in dealing with the problem of free will, and may bear on the theodicy of Simone Weil.
