Key author of science fiction. Deals largely in what is called “soft” science fiction, and what Nick likes to refer to as SocioPunk, PoliPunk, PyschoPunk, and LinguiPunk. He is best-known for his epic novel Dune and its crappy sequels, but best-loved by UGP-folk for his ConSentiency novels, which develop the concept of the good bureaucracy.
