What is a Vimana? I’m so glad you asked. A Vimana is an ancient Indian air/spacecraft. References to airships (if this doesn’t conjure images of many-propeller-driven zeppelins with their own casinos, you haven’t been playing enough final fantasy) occur in several places in ancient Indian literature. (cf. Sanskrit)
These references have spawned a wide variety of theories (up to and including the destruction of Atlantis in a pre-historic nuclear war waged by Vimana-pilots) regarding Vimanas. Perhaps the most delightful, however, is the “Vimanika-shastra”, an “ancient” text which transcribed by some guy in a trance a few decades ago. And has since been translated into English and published.

God bless India.
